Continuing Professional Development is becoming an essential component for coaches who want to hone their professional skills, deepen the impact of their coaching and increase their marketability particularly as a growing number of companies now require the mentoring and accreditation of coaches they use.

Through professional Mentoring and Supervision, new coaches can quickly extend their confidence and their skill base and experienced coaches can deepen their contact with clients which results in much more powerful coaching.

The Lifecoaching Company aligns itself with the International Coach Federation (ICF) code of ethics and core coaching competencies. Our Continuing Professional Development Service supports coaches who want to deepen their understanding of and integration of these competencies in their work with clients, and also provides support and structure for coaches who want to achieve the different levels of ICF accreditation.

There are an increasing number of workshops and seminars aimed at giving coaches new models to use and ways to approach and market specific client groups. These are relevant and helpful provided the coach has a strong foundation in, and is continuing to deepen and extend their skills in the core competencies.

In practice however, the foundations of coaching in working ethically, creating clear empowering relationships, communicating effectively, and facilitating learning and results are often paid little attention other than in initial coach training - and even then the training may be relatively short with little time and individual attention.

Our programmes support coaches of all levels who are committed to growing and developing throughout their career. The Programme consists of the following:

• Mentoring on demand as needed

    Coaches who use this service for support with their clients would contact the Mentor for a single 40 minute sessions, having normally email details before hand to set up the call.

• Mentoring on a monthly basis

    Provides coach with the opportunity to work regularly with a supervisor. The sessions could be used for mentoring whilst coaching a challenging client and it could include personal coaching and practice building.

• Facilitated Groups on Client Situations

    A chance to bring client situations to the group for discussion, brainstorming and role play --
  •    On what is happening between coach and client
  •    What is happening for the client
  •    How to coach the client
  •    How the client can move forward

• Accreditation support (one-to-one and small group)

  •    Understanding and applying the coaching core competencies
  •    Keeping records, preparing case studies and making applications
  •    Supervised or monitored client sessions with feedback
  •    Preparation for interview
  •    References
  •    Workshops for coaches
